University of Ghana General Amnesty For Undergraduate Students Yet To Graduate

University of Ghana General Amnesty and how to apply. The General Public is hereby informed that Undergraduate Applications for the second semester of the 2021/2022 academic year are now open under a three-year general amnesty. Thus, this opportunity is given to final year students whose studentships have passed to re-sit outstanding/failed courses and graduate. Hence, this covers the 2021/2022, 2022/2023, and 2023/2024 academic years only.

Eligibility for University of Ghana General Amnesty

Therefore, applicants should be University of Ghana undergraduate final year students who should have graduated from 2000/2001 to 2018/2019 but have not due to elapsed studentship.

Please find below the application process for Prospective General Amnesty:

Registration of Interest

• To begin with, applicants are required to register their outstanding/failed courses using the students’ portal (STS). The link to the registration portal is https://sts.ug.edu.gh/services/login
• Secondly, applicants must submit a student ID and MIS Web Pin. The University of Ghana Student ID Number, as well as the MIS Web PIN, will be required.
• However, applicants should click here if they have no ID number and/or PIN:  https://sts.ug.edu.gh/services/guest/login
• Afterward, applicants are to visit relevant Departments with proof of registration for information on arrangements regarding registered courses prior to the start of the semester. The schedule for the 2nd semester can be found here:  REVISED L100 -L400 ACADEMIC CALENDAR 2021-2022.pdf (ug.edu.gh)
• Hence, Departmental Heads or Examination Officers will help with replacements for phased-out courses.

Deadline for Amnesty Course Registration

The deadline for course registration for the second semester of the 2021/2022 academic year is Sunday, July 3, 2022.

Provisional Identification Cards

However, students must note that Provisional Identification Cards (ID) will be provided after the deadline for registration.

• Firstly, students are required to fully participate in lectures for a registered course(s) to be allowed to undertake examination(s).
• Secondly, students are to abide by the University of Ghana Regulations for Junior Members 2017.
